Harvestfest was such a great time, as usual, having it be a massive dinner celebration with almost the entire family was so heartwarming in ways I find it hard to express. It's been a season of a lot of gratefulness and thankfulness as I live out the blessings of choosing a partner who loves Lord because of his family, who also love the Lord. While everyone was in town we had great music performances, it's always such a blessing to hear Zoe worship at church, she's truly been blessed by the Lord with her musical talents. We were also able to hear performances by the other sisters, it's so great that we're able to praise the Lord together in song.

We definitely took advantage of family being in town and hung out a lot. We'd have family dinners, go bowling, a lot of shopping trips, go to the pumpkin patch, the park, and many more. I hope that there's more hangouts like this in the future.

I've been slowly working to get a regular filming schedule, while we figure out Amelia's routine I basically try and fit whatever I can do into whatever free time I find. I've filmed a Amelia's birth story and NICU journey, and I'm also putting out a 3rd trimester essentials video as soon as it's edited. Pregnancy has impacted my skin so I'm doing a video on how I've handled skincare & makeup through to postpartum.

While we were gathered together for Harvestfest, Charles and Lorilee announced that they'd bought a house! It's a townhouse is a wonderful neighbourhood that we've been looking into as well, it's a fixer upper so it's going to be all hands on deck to get it done before winter comes.

On the guise of a historical tour of the city's historical buildings, Sebastian brought Zuri on a date at the Old Salt House. When the tour reached the mini roof garden, Sebastian proposed to Zuri, promising a life story worthy to be told.

(Narrator) Bursting with pride at her family, Lea took to SimBook to catalogue their updated family picture. This year they celebrated Harvestfest with almost all of their extended family so her kids and grandkids (the out of town ones anyway) travelled into Newcrest and stayed with her and Branden. Now that Tanner and his wife Tabitha have moved back to Newcrest they've got 2 grandbabies near them all the time.

omg guys, yesterday (16th Feb 2026) was the 6 year anniversary of this blog! It totally slipped my mind until I was sat down arranging my picture folders and realised what day it was.

6 years ago, in an attempt to keep myself accountable for continuing a fundie legacy past the 2nd generation, I started this tumblr on a whim while on half term break at university and WOW am I proud of how far I've come. This blog has survived jobs, relationships that should've never happened, and various other life changes that really could've brought everything to a screeching halt.

I feel like I have a community here and I've enjoyed watching it grow, getting to talk to people and create a shared bond over similar interests & experiences is something I can't fully articulate my immense appreciation for (missing you @/meetthefundies!!) I've used this (and will continue to use it) as a creative outlet, explored various digital editing software, tried my hand at custom content making (which I'm hoping to go back into properly), and learned the power of a properly angled screenshot.

As I write this I'm lowkey getting emotional, recently I've been going through my picture folders and deleting irrelevant ones that are taking up space, and seeing the progression in my characters lives has me lowkey in my feels. When life feels like it's grabbed me by my edges with both hands, getting to temporarily disconnect and dive into a different world has been almost therapeutic. There are so many more things I have planned for this, so this is simply a check-point in the journey that is this tumblr. In a perfect world I'd be releasing some CC that I've got filling my wip folder, but as much as I'd like to be back into fully creating custom content I need to deal with a few things first before I can dive back in like I want to.

I want to thank each and every person that has liked, commented, followed, reblogged, downloaded, and sent an ask & a nice message - it truly does mean the world to me that there are people that enjoy what I create.

(Valentina's POV)

We recently got together in Newcrest for Zach & Kelsey's gender reveal! It was hosted at Newcrest Baptist and was such a precious event. Kelsey handed all planning permissions to my mum, who then recruited us girls to help put the plans together for a cute event that she'd like. Kristyn travelled in so she could oversee the decor options as well as event set up, which was so gracious of her as the rest of us were so busy we couldn't spare any time until the day before the event. Her parents also travelled in from their hometown, but they got in a few days prior so that they could spend time with their daughter before the party since they'd be heading home soon afterwards.

The one thing Kelsey chose to do was to pop balloons to announce the twins' gender. The first balloon had blue confetti in it, but because they weren't identical twins there was a chance the next twin could've been a girl - and she was! They are having a girl and a boy! How fitting, Jarrod and Zachary are best friends and have both had/will have girl/boy twins. With these new additions coming to join the family, our mum has taken the twin picture to be a serious idea and is hoping to have one taken when we're next all together (hopefully harvestfest).

Sabrina and Tessa are also pregnant along with Kelsey, the one thing that unites them all is that they have either had twins or are a twin - with Tessa dong both. With a family like hours there's always someone growing new life to bring into the world, and as their older sister it brings my heart such joy seeing them expand their families and raise them for the Lord.

I drove in with Aria, Ansel, Sabrina, Celeste and their kids, since their husbands weren't able to get the time off to drive them to Newcrest and back for the weekend. Eric stayed home with the four littles so that I could take the big kids with me on the trip, he even paid for the van that we rented so that we could make the trip in a van large enough for us all to travel safely and comfortably. Praise the Lord that all the girls were able to get together for the gender reveal, Tessa and Madelyn originally didn't think they'd be able to make it but last minute confirmed that they'd be able to attend.

My mum and my sister came into town to be here for when baby comes, my dad had to work so he'll come for a visit once baby gets here so he can meet them. Since they come visit us often enough they fit in with our routines, so they were able to join me at church for women's bible study night. Casandra and a few other ladies arrange these regularly for us at the church as part of the women's ministry, it's so great that we have this support from our church in helping us on our walk with the Lord.

This summer we've been blessed by a number of special services and meetings, Newcrest Baptist is part of a few preaching circuits that so summer specials so it's been an abundance of the Lord's blessings and goodness. It was honestly just what I needed, with everyday that passes I lean on the Lord more and more, so being reminded of His goodness and mercy every session this summer has been very timely.
