Laptops Vs Netbooks: Which One Is A Better Choice?
Much has been written about the epic battle between laptops and netbooks. If you are using a laptop or computer, you may have noticed that it slows down with time to a final sluggish pace. To resolve this, you either upgrade it with expanded RAM or install a new operating system. Some even ditch the previous system and go for a new one. No doubt, computer technology has been moving in leaps and bounds and the gap between performance and price is being narrowed down with every passing day. Laptops, for example, take less space than desktops and are much cleaner with respect to wire clutter. You can always compare in terms of prices, deals, or reviews, where the latter will always have an edge over the former ones. But recently, markets buzzed with a completely new version of laptops - the netbooks.
If laptops replaced desktops, netbooks have been working their way up to provide a replacement for laptops. These are mini laptops that have 7 to 13 inch screens. These are less powerful than their elder sibling but have an appeal in terms of portability. It is much smaller in size and weight and is much more convenient in terms of carrying around. In addition on average, laptops have a battery that lasts less that a netbook on a recharge. This means you do not need to carry around your charger and can get a lot more out of your device on long trips.
However, netbooks still have a long way to go before they catch up as a strong alternative to laptops. The main reason being the processing power is predominately slower than laptops. So large sized software runs sluggishly on netbooks. But newer versions are always being introduced. So if you are in the market for a new laptop or netbook, consider your needs while you research and comparison shop to help make that right purchase.
