How would La Squadra help their s/o study for their university courses, or maybe just helping then de-stress
Hi there darling! Oh boyyyy, I feel this in my soul, it’s exams period ç.ç But the murderous boys are here to help! And I hope you’ll enjoy those hcs :3
La Squadra di Esecuzione help their s/o to study for their uni courses
(Under the cut for length!)
Risotto Nero
Seeing how Risotto neglects himself when he’s focused on a task, someone would think he’d do the same with his s/o, or at least that he’d not notice if they’re neglecting themselves too or not. Nothing more false: he may be busy as hell, but he always keeps an eye on his s/o, especially if he knows they’re studying hard for their next exam. He’s not a person of many words, so he’d let actions speak for him: when he sees they’ve not drunk or eaten for a while, without saying a word he goes to the kitchen and comes back with two cups of tea -or whatever his s/o likes the most- and a good snack for them. Then, he places everything near them and kisses their forehead, going back to his work. He doesn’t need to watch them to know they’re smiling.
He’s the best listener. He’d listen to his s/o’s ramblings about what they’re studying for hours without batting an eye, and the most important thing is that he listens for real, even if he’s still writing a report about the last mission. He doesn’t miss a word and, if he feels like it’s needed, he’d give them some advice. If, instead, they have rambled because they needed to vent out their stress, he’d not tell them cliché things like “it’ll be ok, you’re great” etc. He’d just let them sit on his lap and hug them, caressing their back in a reassuring way and, in his arms, they can finally feel like all their stress is slowly melting away. Risotto believes in them and his affections remind them about it, giving them a new confidence and strength.
The day of the exam, Risotto wakes up even earlier than usual to prepare them a good breakfast. If they usually don’t eat before an exam, due to stress and agitation, then he puts everything in a bag, so they can eat it when they’re done, if they feel suddenly hungry. When they come back, no matter how busy he is and no matter the actual grade they got -or they still have to get- he’d go to welcome them home and, placing a kiss on their forehead, he’d just say “I’m proud of you”, meaning every single word.
Prosciutto
As Risotto, Prosciutto is a busy person. He’s not tied to paperwork and such, so he’s often sent on mission. However, when he knows his s/o is about to face a great amount of stress, he gladly takes a step back to let his comrades go on missions; in this way, he can stay with them for longer. He’s not just a man of action, but also of words, in particular of motivational speeches -as Pesci can confirm-; when he sees them down, he sits in front of them, frowning, gently cups their face and reminds them all the exams they’ve already passed, all the challenges they’ve already faced. They’re going to win this time too, he’s sure about it. Most of times he manages to lift their spirit up and to make them feel confident again, but, even when he doesn’t, at least he makes them smile, and this already melts a bit of their tension away.
He’s a good partner when they want to repeat the notions they’ve just studied. His asks are sharp and on point, sometimes even a little tricky, to allow them to be more than ready to face even the meanest professor without flinching. If they don’t get right something, he doesn’t get angry like he does with Pesci; he knows that the last thing they need is someone who shouts at them. Instead, he read them the right definition, then, when they’re done, he asks them again the same topics they got wrong before, to see if now they remember them, and they usually do so!
The day of the exam, Prosciutto does a last motivational speech, before watching them go out. Then, when they’re done, he goes to pick them up; now that they’re free, they can enjoy the rest of the day together! He’s so happy to see them finally relaxed, no matter the grade they’ve got or they’re going to take; now they’re free, at least for a while! And, to celebrate their regained freedom, he takes them where they want, spoiling them like they deserve, after working so hard!
Pesci
When he still went to school, Pesci was terrified of tests and oral interrogations. So, he can perfectly understand how his s/o’s feeling; even if university exams are obviously different from the tests he remembers, the fear and the panic are still the same. So, more than giving them advices or faking to be an expert about what they’re studying, he’d work on their mood. If they’re in a happy and positive mood, they’d study more and better, and if they do so they’d get a higher grade, which would make them happy. So, he makes sure they have always some water and something to eat near them and, when he sees them particularly in crisis, he steps in, gently bringing them with him outside. He knows that a little break outside, breathing fresh air and enjoying the warm sun on their skin would help their brain to calm down a little, and it usually works. Seeing something that isn’t notions and notions helps them to melt the panic away; when they smile at him, he knows it’s everything fine again.
Pesci wants to help as much as he can, and if they think he’d be good at help them to revise, then he does it. He usually asks them definitions and such reading the bolded sentences, giving them, so, the input to start to explain. He’d not interrupt them until they’re done; then, if they got something wrong, he’d tell them what was it, and together they repeat until they have finally memorized it well. In the end, Pesci learns a lot too! He’s always gentle to them, even when they’re snappy and nervous; it’s not their fault! He knows they’ll be back to themselves when they’re finally free from all their stress.
The day of the exam, Pesci walks with them to the university. There, he encourages them once more, more than sure that they’ll get a good grade! When they’re finally done, he’d hug them tightly, happy to see them visibly more relaxed; his s/o’s really back! And he’s so, so proud of them: they have faced their challenge with courage and they’re victorious! Not that he doubted it. He knew they would have rocked!
Formaggio
Formaggio never took school seriously. Yes, he liked to learn, but he liked to learn what he liked the most and at his own rhythm. So, he needs a little to really internalize how important is for his s/o to focus hard on their studies and how much they care about them. However, once he does it, he’s their best supporter! He never stops to encourage them and, even if he can’t help them if they don’t understand something. So, he focuses on making them feel relaxed and motivated even when things don’t seem so bright. He has a talent in making people smile, and he puts a lot of effort in doing so with his s/o! He knows that the more they’re relaxed, the more they memorize. When they’re feeling down because they have not reached their ideal daily goal of studied pages, he always reminds them quality over quantity! Yes, maybe they’ll need a day or two more than what they had programmed, but what really matters is how much, in the end, they’ll remember! So, in his opinion, it’s better to take it slower, if this means to improve the quality of their study. So, when he sees that they have studied for a lot of time, he comes in to drag them to take a little break. Even if they huff and complain, he knows that their brain will thank him later!
He likes to shrink down and sit on their shoulder, when they’re studying and he has nothing else to do. In this way, he can check on them without making them feel observed -they even often forget about him, he’s so light and small and they’re too focused on their textbooks-. When he sees they’re really stressed, he peppers their cheek with tiny kisses that always make them smile and even laugh, and he can almost physically feel the stress melting away at least a little. It’s a huge victory!
The day of the exam, Formaggio encourages them one last time, as they go to finally test what they’ve learned. They don’t know that Formaggio, the exact moment they turned away, shrinked himself and hid in their bag, in order to be with them and, well, to be sure their professor behaves well. No one can treat his s/o in a mean way!
Melone
Melone is actually the only one in the squad who graduated also from university. So, he knows the pain and the stress that come from having to study long and hard for an exam and, as much as he can, he wants to make sure his s/o is at least well assisted and encouraged. He doesn’t want them to have to study all alone and to feel neglected, like he was when he was younger. So, he established a good schedule that would allow them to study a lot while also taking healthy and needed breaks. He always makes sure they’re rightly hydrated and eat regularly healthy and energetic food and, when they’re done with their daily amount of pages, he always makes sure to massage and soothe their aching shoulders and neck. If their body is healthy and full of energy, then they’ll study better! And, even more important, if they feel appreciated and encouraged, their moral will always be high and they’ll study with passion and motivation, which is the most important thing, in the end.
According to what they’re studying and how much free time he has, Melone would study with them. He has a good memory, and he loves to learn new notions; moreover, he would also be able to help them to revise when they need it. He’s good at asking them tricky questions that make them reflect and dig through their whole knowledge on the topic. It’s a tiring and hard process, but, in the end, they easily remember everything they have to. In the end, all the efforts and tries are worth it!
The day before the exam, Melone helps them with a last and definitive revise, then he closes their book and doesn’t allow them to break their back on them for the whole day. What is done, is done; a last minute study session would not change anything. What they need, right now, is to rest and take it slow and nice; their brain wouldn’t work well if they stress too much the day before the exam! He knows they’ll rock; they’ve studied together, after all!
Illuso
Illuso is the most organized person of the squad. He has to be, all in all; he is the one who collect and files information. His brief period as member of Squadra Informazioni helped him to gain a really effective mental storage method, and he has no problems in teaching it to his s/o, if they want to. He just wants them to study with serenity and with productivity, after all! And a good studying method can really be miraculous. If they manage to learn it, they’ll be less frustrated and anxious, and they’ll even have more free time to relax their brain! So, he focuses on it, on finding a good studying method for them. Of course this doesn’t mean he’ll neglect them on an immediate basis! His training made him very aware of his surroundings and, especially, of people around him; he needs just a quick glance to know if his s/o is tired, or hungry, or if they’re in pain due to a sore back. His responses are quick: in few minutes he comes back with their favourite snack or drink, or with a massage oil to soothe their sore muscles. He kinda tends to pamper them, but he likes it! They’re studying hard, they deserve to be spoiled a little!
If they are particularly in a difficult situation, then he’ll apply his prodigious mnemonic abilities to memorize the most difficult passages and to be able to help them to revise what they need the most when they want. They suddenly forget a notion and they’re about to panic and they can’t reach for their textbook? No problem: Illuso’s here to perfectly recite that notion and calm their nerves down. He also usually keeps a copy of their textbooks in the mirror world, so, if they need it when they’re not at home, a short call is enough to have their textbooks directly from the mirror world. He knows it helps them to feel more relaxed!
When they’re finally done with the exam, if they feel like they just want to stay alone somewhere where no one can bother them, he’d take them in the mirror world, to their secret place. Here, he’d let them relax, while gently holding them. They have been so good… they deserve a nice rest, now!
Ghiaccio
Ghiaccio is not the best person to have around when you’re having a panic attack or you’re very nervous and snappy. His s/o knows it too well, as he snapped back at them, and snapped badly, the last time they had been so nervous for an exam. So, since they didn’t want to fight again with him, they just decided to seclude themselves in their room until the exam. Ghiaccio, meanwhile, had the time to reflect on his behaviour and to realize how much his snappy bursts hurts his s/o, especially when the situation, for them, is already stressful and tiring enough. So, this time, he tries hard to be more understanding and patient, even if this means that, sometimes, he has to bite his tongue in order not to snap. He doesn’t think it’s really effective, but in reality his s/o is really moved by his stubborn attempts to better himself for their sake. They see how hard he tries to be patient and to hold back when they are nervously rude at him… it warms their heart. And it gives them the strength to study even harder!
So, he tries to express his encouragement not with words but with actions: he brings them snacks and water, he makes sure they exercise enough even if they’re studying -”mens sana in corpore sano” he always says- and they take enough breaks during the day. If it’s too hot, he stays in their room and uses White Album to cool down the room’s temperature, creating the perfect microclimate to allow them to study in the most comfortable way. In his eyes it’s not so much, but at least it’s something! And his s/o appreciates it a lot. They love to feel him near, especially when he’s calm, and it’s quite cute to see him trying so hard to be genuinely nice… they know he never had the chance to be nice and sweet. He’s learning, after all… and they are grateful he loves them enough to try to better himself!
When they’re finally done with their exam, both they and Ghiaccio want to do just one thing: sleep! Finally being able to sleep without worrying about the exam is the sweetest experience in a while… they feel finally regenerated!
