He is best remembered as Rik in the early 1980’s anarchic punk student comedy ‘The Young Ones’,as always horny and outrageous Lord/Captain Flashheart in the Blackadder series,the offensive 1990’s politician Alan B'Stard in the show The New Statesman,and his regular partnership with Ade Edmondson,starting with the ensemble alternative comedy troupe The Comic Strip and their tv satire series Comic Strip Presents..and continuing in the outrageous tv series Bottom.
