Chapter 7 Mission Day 2: ― Central Command
“Daddy....?”
@excommandant
° W/ ALEXEI. TEACH DADDY.
@excommandant
It wasn’t particularly new for the knight to teach her training to another, having grown up learning archery, she was far more than a natural when it came down to it. Her men, well, not all of them had learnt how to use a bow, let alone one with the capabilities of her own, so teaching them was not new to her.
It was a little more than just a hobby, though the woman was extremely fond of it- And she would find herself practicing often, whether it be to keep herself from getting rusty, or to simply blow off steam.
However, of all the people to show interest in learning such a thing, the Commandant was the least expected. He was exceptional when it came to a sword, but she had admittedly never seen him use a bow before, and when he asked her to show him how- Well, she’s not about to deny her Commandant.
Instructing someone of a higher rank, and who you look up to is...weird, she’ll admit. She’s not entirely sure she should be doing this- But she shows him how to stance, how to hold the bow and draw, and talks about how crucial it is to draw the string correctly, lest you rip the skin from your arm.
Casey speaks with confidence, though her eyes almost betray her, giving the man sideways glances. The thought that he might actually be testing her lingers in her mind, but she pushes it aside for now.
After a run down, she draws her bow as demonstration, and eyes locking ahead, she releases, lodging the arrow firmly in the target. She’s an incredible shot even now, and it dead eyes rather nicely.
Smiling up at Alexei, she observes him for any comment, or action, and she’s rather proud she can still land her hits effectively.
The knight hopes he is pleased with her teachings, at the very least, and she lightly tucks a piece of her behind her ear, all the while giving a gentle smile.

Displaced, rearranged and reassigned. Things post war were not what they used to be, and though the knight understood her Commandant’s decisions, being kept in the dark had its disadvantages.
Though she’s grateful for the heart that beats in her chest, and a second chance at things- No, she should not complain, Casey is a trusting woman when it comes to him, and she is still doing good. Even if it is under wraps.
Still...
“Commandant-”
She catches him in the hallways, and her voice breaks out before she can halt herself, though its noticeable...The immediate change of mind on her face, and she hopes, just hopes she hasn’t been heard in passing.
