STAR TREK: DISCOVERY S05E03 — Jinaal
Gotta admit, that Time Bug of Star Trek: Discovery season five bringing us back to an Action Hero Jett Reno somewhen in season three is quite the highlight of Star Trek: Discovery season five.
She's perfect.
Also (Fun Fact Time!), when Reno is asked by Rayner how he can thank her for saving his ass and she replies he can buy her a drink at Red's,
this scene has a gorgeous meta layer in the German dubbed version that I watched, because the voice actor who dubbed Callum Keith Rennie (his name is Dietmar Wunder) also dubbed Daniel Craig in Casino Royale (which in case you didn't know is an adaption of the Fleming novel for which the Vesper cocktail was invented).
If I'm not mistaken, has IMDb been updated? But this frame, God🔥🙌
I've made a sequel for the first officers of the ship. My only rule for who counted was that they had to be first officer or equivalent role for at least one full episode and had to have been a major character for at least one season. I was also rating them based on the vibes they had as lieutenants, ignoring how they behaved under any other rank.
Let me know what y'all think. I'm think of doing this for the other stations as well.
Trektober 2025 - Day 23: Demotion or Promotion (Trek prompt)
So I made some stuff.
Author chose not to use warnings | Mature | Rayner/Charles Vance there was only one sleeping bag | war crimes | references to past torture | violence | trauma | shame | pre-canon | dubious survival tactics | lost in translation | problematic bi representation | nobody’s hands are clean (in either the moral or the hygienic sense) In the dying months of the Kellerun uprising, the Federation finally dispatches aid. Cut off from their convoy, stranded and alone, a junior Starfleet officer and a Kellerun militia soldier face a war of their own.
Well, that sure was four months. Chapter thirteen! In which everyone handles recent events in a mature and well-adjusted fashion.
