He’d been an enormous pain and help both, but he seemed generally a decent guy and it was a shock to see him on the ground, and too close to town for it to really be an attack besides. At least from the elves.

Soldiers could get tedious. She’d come into town, she could leave it just as easily. If there was something new out there causing trouble it’d be one thing, but just keeping records and their endless pissing match with the elves didn’t interest her too terribly.
