#answers from ohio #ooc answer - 2024 was NOT the year of good meals considering weve been renovating the kitchen majority of the year #but back in January my family all went on a Disney cruise for my sister's sweet 16 #i cannot pinpoint an exact favorite meal from that trip so here's the highlights #infinite ice cream. really good breakfast sausage. perfectly cooked steak. an ice cream sundae. non-alcoholic pina coladas. roasted pork.#it was a 4 day cruise and there was a grand ballroom dinner every single night #and during all 4 nights we had the same server which was AMAZING because he somehow managed to feel like an actual friend to all of us #ALL WHILE BEING A MAGICIAN #he knew so many magic tricks and he showed us a new one every night and it was AWESOME #10/10 would recommend going on a cruise #good food. nice people. live theater performances of full musicals of disney movies every night too #and Castaway Cay? Disney's private island in the Bahamas? let me tell you. there were rental bikes #im getting very sidetracked from the fact that this is a post about food but like. good memories #and just to clarify im not obsessed with Disney i just enjoy when other people pay for me to go to nice places and Disney happens to be a #common one

funniest music whiplash ever

be us in our first year at college in the midlands in 1986, before we got ill forever

our new friend Noel says to us "hey do you want to come with me to see Van Morrison in Nottingham? Simone's coming with and I don't want her to think it's a date (because it totally is and I'm scared af) so do you mind being third wheel?"

anyway we think to ourselves hmm it's probably for a good cause and we don't mind some heavy rock music - see, we had never even heard of Van Morrison, so we turned up there expecting something like Van Halen, or Van de Graaf Generator and got this absolutely mesmerising faerie soundfield instead

apparently we got him on an unusually good night (he was in a really good mood) and this song went on for a good 25 minutes and melted us

of course it was complicated because we had crushes on both the people we were either but eh so it goes - anyway Noel and Simone got together later that night and watching them together over the next year or so is how we figured out we dodged two bullets (not that they were even aimed at us)
