Friday FRIYAY at the #MissionKitchen! Today was a super productive day in the kitchen. Dave was a rockstar ... got the pasta warming and coleslaw prepped for today and organized the day. Lunch was a ground meat with penné in a creamy tomatoe sauce accompanied by coleslaw with cherry tomatoes, a big helping of my cherry Berry fruit salad from yesterday and a soft dinner roll. We served up 120 healthy & hardy meals by 10:30. Kim was Superwoman 🦸‍♀️ today .. she brought homemade slaw and helped Chef R ... chopping and slicing tomatoes, olives and onions for that scrumptious Mediterranean salad before getting to work prepping a fruit salad. Thanks for your hard work, Kim 😃👍🏼👊🏼🙌🏼 Chef R was on pasta duty for the weekend's meals ... boiling a massive pot of elbow macaroni and TWO HUGE POTS of tomatoe sauce. I ground, seasoned and cooked some meat for him and he turned it into EIGHT flats of finished pasta. Thursday from the #MissionKitchen! We served up 150 hot, healthy meals by 11:00 am and 180 total! Lunch featured a red pepper & garlic roast chicken over a tasty lentil & onion white rice with a side of green peas and corn niblets, finished with Chef @willkk tasty gravy and a roll to soak it all up. The starter was Chef Rs pasta salad with green olives, cucumber & tomatoes in a light vinaigrette. A blueberry, strawberry and maraschino cherry salad for dessert was accompanied by one of the best oatmeal chocolate cookies I've ever had (cookies must be sampled to prove their worthiness 😁😁😉😇). Huge thanks to @cuddlyx10 and Kim for the cookies! Does Chef William look happy to receive this donation of herbs and spices? Terrific Thursday at the #MissionKitchen Today, we served Rotini in a tomato sauce. Donna and Dave added a healthy serving of ground beef plus sautéed onion & celery and topped it off with shredded cheese! A really great meal. Chef R provided his creamy coleslaw as a starter and I whipped up this very-berry fruit salad with blueberries, peaches, oranges, apples, melons and grapes. Chef @willkk was off racing his motorcycle, so we had to determine our serving size ... "chef w size" or "DONNA SIZE"! 🤣🤣😂🤣😂 We decided somewhere in between ... we had to feed 200 people 😀😁 Huge thanks to @cuddlyx10 and her sister Kim for providing some much needed relief. I whipped up two bus tubs of mixed fruit: raspberries, blueberries, golden berries, grapes and ambrosia apples. It was a crazy Thursday at the #MissionKitchen. It was only Chef @willkk and I for the morning. We made enough food for 200 people... just us. We made up elbow macaroni with a ground meat and creamy rosé sauce, tender asparagus and onion with roast zucchini and onion on top. We finished the main course with either a slice of baguette or multi grain bread. The starter was a mixed green salad with tomatoes, mushroom and cucumber in a light Italian dressing. Dessert was fresh grapes with a slice of apple turnover pastry. Chef William and I just put our noses down and got everything done. We had 120 meals served by 10:30 with another 30 half prepped. I needed to get off my sore ankle at that point. Friday FRIYAY! at the #MissionKitchen Today's menu featured a delectable Greek seasoned chicken skewer with onion and sweet bell pepper over Chef Rs incredible skin-on mashed potatoes finished with a drizzle of chicken and mushroom gravy. A side of roasted veggies (carrots, broccoli, sweet potatoe and white potatoes) was accompanied by a slice of herbed bread. @___krunks___ was in charge of desserts .. everything from this truffle cake to a chocolate caramel Volcano cake to Cherry and Strawberry-rhubarb Pies that he baked up. Chef @willkk kept us hoping all morning... 120 meals served by 11! Plus, I made a massive pot of pasta: 6 bags of cavatappi with a bag of onions, spinach, broccoli and 5 bulbs of garlic! Chef added some shredded chicken and his top secret tomatoe pasta sauce. He filled 6 pans and then added shredded mozzarella on top. Friday FRIYAY at the #MissionKitchen Another Fantastic Feast to end the week for our patrons. A huge helping of cheesy beef lasagna was accompanied by Donna's delectable potato and pasta salad. I whipped up a spinach and romaine salad with quinoa, topped with cherry tomatoes and roast asparagus. A crustini bun was the perfect finish to mop up the juice 😁😁😁 It was great to have @cuddlyx10 helping today and @___krunks___ was a superstar keeping us all on our toes! A sweet green bean and carrot salad with roast corn on the cob was the perfect starter. A crusty bun finished the meal.
