Ever since I was on #FORGEDINFIRE and won with my #panabas #design I have been exploring ways to make it more modern and proficient. I do believe I have finally found the right ratio of shape, weight distribution and blade geometry to move forward with a small run of them. Range from 18.5" blade, 16" blade (both two handed) and a 12" blade (single handed). They have 2 convex grinds, an apple seed edge and a slight recurve. The handles are set at angles to allow the blade to enter the cut well before a straight blade which helps keep that swooping curve in the cut without sliding off the target. The curve also allows for a higher impact resistance than a straight edge blade. #bestofbothworlds They will be made from .25" thick 80CRV2 and heat treated to HRC 59.
