I’m sad to see this weekly challenge go - it’s pretty much the reason I picked up and kept running (or stumbling) along with pixelart over the past year and a half. Weekly prompts kept offering me an excuse to try new stuff, and it’s very chiefly thanks to this that my technique’s improved at all over that time.

Weekly Challenge 100: August 9 2015

100 weeks. 100 challenges. Over 700 submissions. Almost two years old. It’s been a hell of a ride. We think it is about time to draw the book of compixellated to a close

The final challenge

That’s right. This is the last compixellated challenge. Compixellated has gone on for 100 weeks and we think that is a good time for us to end it. It has been a lot of fun. So to end it, we want everyone to go back and do a favorite challenge from the past. Maybe one you missed or your first challenge and compare how much progress you’ve made since then.

Since this is the last challenge I think it would be awesome to end with a bang and get a TON of submissions. Which is where the optional theme comes in. In case you don’t want to do the main challenge or want to add an extra spin on your submission. 

So. If you’ve ever made anything for compixellated, wanted to but never have, or haven’t even tried making pixel art but followed to try it now is the time to do it.
