the funniest part about like “it’s gay to drink iced coffee in winter” to me is that iced coffee culture is very regional in the US but not in a way you would expect. like, growing up in the south almost no one drank iced coffee. iced tea, yes, but never coffee. even in summer! it could be 100 degrees and people would be drinking hot coffee on their porch! maybe this has changed with the youths, but, for example, my father heard about cold brewing and, after giving it a shot, assumed you were still supposed to heat up the coffee.
then I moved to boston where virtually everyone drinks iced coffee. even in winter. especially in winter. you will see burly dudes plow through the snow drift on the side of the road just to get an extra large iced coffee from dunks.
