Life After Vidding | mods: zeneyepirate & Pipsqueaky
One day you're in the zone, the next you're not. What happens when a day turns into a month – a year – several years? How do we cope with the decline of our vidding drive? What happens if it never comes back?
Make Mine Multi (2 hour) | mod: Jetpack Monkey
The multi-source vid: what is it? How does it come to be? How insane do you have to be to attempt one? We'll talk about the research process, clip acquisition, creating a narrative from dozens of other narratives, and wrangling disparate video qualities, aspect ratios, and colorations.
Stop, Collaborate and Listen | mod: jarrow
Sometimes two (or three!) heads are simply better than one. But collaborating on a vid can be a tricky tango. Come talk about what has or hasn't worked for you, or what's standing in the way of you attempting the collab of your dreams. You might even find a new partner for a vid today!
Vidding as Media Literacy | mods: Lola, futuransky & kbusse
We will talk about the way vids and vidding are used in higher education as tools of media analysis and to convey ideas of the critical viewer, the active audience, and the stakes of fair use. We will also look at the way vids function within popular culture as moments of critique or as models of media literacy, as they circulate within sites like Tumblr and Dreamwidth and facilitate conversations about the media texts that they rework. Finally we will consider how vidding is being included in and transforming evolving forms of multimedia authorship. We will include comments/contributions from several long time vidders who have incorporated critique into their vids as well as teachers who incorporate vids and vidding into their teaching, and will invite attendees to suggest further examples.

Trailers in vidding can be found in wide variety. Many media mash ups exist that use audio from one source meshed with the video from another source. Many trailer vids swap genres or shift the focus of the original media. Trailer vids can be made to promote other fanworks, generally fanfiction. There are also fan edited trailers for existing media and fan created media can take a different approach or create something new. Patchworks can be created to give the viewer a taste of media that does not yet exist.
