Concept LA is just a day away!!!

Is it Saturday yet?
Concept Los Angeles
With Concept L.A. now over, we’re happy to report that the Spring 2014 shows we attended on Saturday didn’t disappoint! Our day started off with a bang at Mike Vensel’s art infused installation, which showcased his ethereal and edgy Spring 2014 RTW collection. Some of our favorite looks from the presentation were the beautifully draped all-white pieces, the sculptural swimwear, and the Grecian inspired dresses. Next on our itinerary was Emily Daccarett’s debut runway show. Don’t judge us too harshly, but we totally geeked out when the ushers directed us to the front row. The show opened up with a short film reminiscent of the stereotypical “I don’t get it…” French movies we saw in French class and was followed by a very feminine and playful Parisian inspired collection—we loved the mod vibes of some of the looks! We ended our fashion filled day with the Camilla X Castillo Spring 2014 installation. Manga, is the name of Castillo’s Spring 2014 collection and it was inspired by origami and Japanese culture. We had a lot of fun at this presentation and we loved the details in all of the pieces. We had an amazing time attending the Concept L.A. shows and can’t wait to return next season!
