5 Minute Flash Challenge

[So some insane person decided to tag me with the five minute flash fic challenge since no one learned from the last time I did a flash fic]

"So that was a miserable failure." God mused to itself, sweeping up the dust from the long drawn-out war between the worlds. "Maybe next time I won't give'em any free will whatsoever. Or maybe just the angels get free will. Shit, I don't know." God sighed, poking through the mess. There were still pieces here and there of Good; a swatch of flannel, a mostly intact Impala symbol...and a pair of blue Aggies. "Well son-of-a-bitch. Made of tougher stuff than I thought." God blew the dust off the marbles and turned them over in hands; there were a couple of cracks from where the owner had Fallen--twice, if you can believe it--and a few salt-rimmed watermarks. But the color was still deep and rich and the shape still held. "Wish I could remember how I made this." God murmured, setting the marbles into a mound of dust and draping a tattered scrap of tan something over it. "Or even who it is. Well we'll find out." God blew a few cobwebs and lines of soot away from the draping and watched it sit up slowly. Bones grew from under the rag, then muscle, then skin and nails and curly dark hair and fuzzy feathers. "Oh it's you..." God said.

Cas blinked.

falling asleep, hips pressed together snugly while a cool breeze drifted in from the window, tricking each other into believing they were safe.

Music thingaling: Dean, Cas, Sam <3

Dean: "Is There Anybody Out There?" (cover by Luther Wright & The Wrongs); "Why Can't this be Love?" Van Halen

Dean music for me touches really heavily in bluegrass and bluegrass inflected works. Also: hair metal. And Van Halen is a fucking gift.

Cas: "Wake Up, Wake Up Little Sparrow"- Devandra Banheart (Bandhardt?); "Fifth Dimension Transitional"- MGMT, "King of Birds"- REM

Cas music plays with that line where the world is a real place and a not-real place. Cas music is about touching weirdness, whether that's reality or drug induced. 

Sam- "I Dreamed I Saw Saint Augustine"- The New Pornographers; "Road to Nowhere"- The Talking Heads; "Found a Job"- The Talking Heads; "Headlights Look Like Diamonds,"- The Arcade Fire

Sam listens to covers of classic rock/classic folk staples, music that the cool hipsters listened to in the eighties (New Wave, which he passes on to Cas to Dean's ETERNAL FRUSTRATION), and sensitive shitlord indie shoegaze bullshit from now. (sam music is my music).

who controls the netflix account and what have they dominated the suggestions with by watching cas does because "dean i need to understand pop culture" and he basically just watches mean girls and he would so be into orange is the new black and there's a lot of shark week too because "they're magnificent hunters dean, just like you."who snores: cas does, but he won't admit to it every time dean bugs him about it. "i'm an angel dean. i do not snore." who has an embarrassing ringtone that the other calls them in public just to get to go off: SAM AND CAS CHANGED DEAN'S RINGTONE ONE TIME TO STAYING ALIVE AND DEAN HATES THAT SONG BUT SAM DID SOME TECHNOLOGY THING THAT PREVENTS THE RINGTONE FROM BEING CHANGED AND SO CAS CALLS HIM A LOTwho sleeps on the top bunk if given the chance dean cause he's just a top bunk kinda guywho plays the piano at 6 in the morning to wake up the other  i actually think dean would because cas is so not a morning person so dean learned some songs on piano and plays them super duper loud to wake cas upwho has accidentally set something on fire by attempting to cook a birthday meal CAS LETS BE REAL HERE
