Still a WIP, sadly didn’t finish this by midnight but never mind. In actuality, I was just drawing this for my own amusement and only remembered the new year’s kiss thing just before midnight 😅

Conell X Ahleri WIP

A sweet Coneri moment 🧡

It's 1:30am, I'm in bed close to falling asleep but had a little oc moment play out in my head that I quickly had to note down:

Ahleri and Conell have a heartbreaking convo about duty and the fact that Ahleri feels she can't get married or have kids because her first duty is to the people of Strahna. She mentions how she always expected to have a family and work on a farm like her parents, but all of her expectations for her life have had to be abandoned.

Conell says how sorry he is, and tells her that she's the most amazing person he's ever met, and that even if they can't have a romantic relationship he'll always be her friend and stay by her side to help with protecting Strahna however he can. She starts sobbing into her hands, then laughs, and says he's making this so much harder.

He apologises, but she laughs again and pulls him into a hug. She says she hopes that he'll fall in love and be happy with a lovely girl and have kids some day. Over her shoulder his face twists with grief. She pulls back and turns away, wiping her eyes and not looking at him, chuckling and saying she can be "Aunty Leri with the cool magic powers" but Conell's face is completely devastated and full of longing as he watches her.
