Now that I have accepted Jesus Christ into my life, my heart is so much lighter. Knowing that no matter what Christ will always be there is an amazing feeling. Honestly I don’t think I would be the person I am today if I had not found Christ. He has guided me and given me so many wonderful opportunities that have shaped my person. Now that I know him, I am surrounded by a truly amazing community of people that mean so much to me. These people have brought so much Joy in my life and have shown me God’s love.

My faith has added some practices in my life that are very important. Every night before I go to bed I pray. I pray about what happened that day, the ability to make changes in my life and what I wish for others. It’s really awesome to know someone is listening and it helps me sort `my thoughts. Another practice I have now is participating in youth group. Youth group is such a wonderful environment and provides such a sense of community for me.  Then there’s attending church. I don’t go as much as I should. Sometimes I think of it as a lot of standing up, sitting down, and reciting but when I really focus it’s a very spiritual experience.

Now that I have a strong faith I believe with my whole heart that God sent His only Son to Earth to die for our sins. I know that God watches over me and guides me where I need to be in my life. I have faith that God loves all of us, his children, even when we are sinful. He wants us to be happy and find our place in life. Day to day I try to show God’s light through me.
