Still kinda cooking up stuff for the au idea. I think I’m gonna call it Connectifiapocalypse, and I had a few thoughts about Paige and Edega specifically
I imagine a lot of normal stuff would be corrupted and as a result turn into cool sci-fi shit, hence Ada’s yo-yo now emitting electricity. The world would be rapidly deteriorating and it’s basically the end of the world.
Also if any of this is incomprehensible it’s because it’s the middle of the night and I’m really tired but I had to get this out lmao

Okay so if Ian is missing then that also means Mark is still in critical condition. I think at the beginning of this au all of the characters would end up being scattered, and Edega would end up relatively close to Mark. He’d find him and try to use the defibrillator to help him and…well…
So that clearly didn’t go as planned.
In my other post I mentioned the defibrillator was corrupted, and this is how Edega figured that out. It ended up corrupting Mark, and now he’s under the influence of the virus. The virus itself is ironically keeping his condition much more stable in terms of his heart problems, so he can function a lot better physically, but he doesn’t have as much of a grasp on his thoughts or judgement and everything in his mind is pretty unclear. His memories are tunnel-visioned on those specifically of Edega wronging him, and therefore sees him as an enemy that must be terminated. He also gets cool glitchy appendages and stuff and he’s pretty strong.
Edega is on the run from him now since he’s out to fucking kill him, and he’s unsure how to fix Mark’s condition and clear his head. He’d probably find Paige soon after and not tell her about any of that. I sure hope this doesn’t come back to bite him later.
