Cyreihza’s animosity toward humans does not necessarily stem from personal hatred. The majority of his life he only knew them as enemies on the battlefield, and was subject to frightful tales of humans and their monstrous appetites for the material as a child. When displaced from his dryad family, he only knew humans as an enemy of the Scoia’tael. It is only when he leaves the Scoia’tael that he truly encounters humans with a kind demeanor. Keep in mind this is over the course of nigh four hundred years. Four hundred years of violence and vicious encounters will certainly lead one to believe that it is simply human nature, and any ‘kind’ behaviours deemed an anomaly.
The only personal experiences that shaped his opinion of humans were in Novigrad. A dismal time where he and his Scoia’tael comrades suffered brutal torture, often to the brink of death. The second came when he saved a man from a griffin attack. He even offered this man a place of rest at his camp, only to be drugged the same day and sold to an Ofieri noble. (Mind you, the sale did not succeed. When the Ofieri noble came to collect him, Cyreihza proceeded to kill everyone involved. The man he saved for last, choosing to torture him for days until finally administering the killing touch.)
