I'm not sure what to call this.
And I'm not sure you have to, all the time anyway. Recently many of my posts have maybe been depressing for some, although therapeutic for myself. Yesterday was Franki's funeral. It was such a beautiful service. I mean unbelievably beautiful. Franki didn't belong to a church, so her funeral was at a funeral home, and the Pastor did such a great job speaking about Franki, and also speaking the truth about God. (Might I add because he was a pastor and we were at a funeral home my mother made the point of calling him a "Rent-A-Pastor" LOL). I believe whatever you pray to, or whomever you pray to it's all basically the same. And I don't mean that to diminish any other persons belief or religion. There are many things in common across the board in all different belief systems and religions. Don't lie, don't cheat, don't kill, don't steal, be kind, be forgiving, etc. One thing that stood out to me, was when the Pastor talked about having an "issue" with God. You could hear all the saved people on the room gasp for air. He talked about not knowing that he had one until his own father died. He went on to say that God doesn't ask for permission in anything that he does. He doesn't need to. And he doesn't need our help. If God sees you're having trouble in your life, whether it be an illness, financial troubles, or a cheating boyfriend, he helps you through those things. That's called Mercy. If God sees a family member or friend very sick, and he decides to call them home, that is called deliverance. Either way he makes a decision that's best for the person involved. Now I wouldn't consider myself a religious person. I've never been to church with my parents on a Sunday. But I would consider myself to be spiritual and regardless of how you pray or whomever you may pray to, we are all connected. In this world, in this universe. Somehow we mean something to each other. I say all this to say that you don't need to be apart of one thing to feel connected to another. And if you do, that's fine too. Connections are limitless.
