Connor never knew his dad. Born to a single mom who refused to call the vampire anything other than “your father,” he was curious for a time before his mother’s rants about the guy’s irresponsibleness gradually turned him against October. This dislike transformed into hatred when his mother was murdered in a mugging when he was ten, and his father didn’t come for him. He was given instead to his mother’s sister, who was grieving in her own way and never wanted kids. He felt abandoned and alone, and his fear and grief became anger. It was easier to be angry than sad or afraid.

He began acting out in school, starting fights, mouthing off to teachers, starting fires in the bathrooms, until his aunt got fed up with him and pressed charges when he was twelve, sending him to a juvenile detention facility in the hopes that this would “straighten him out.” This only made him angrier, and he continued this behavior until he caught the eye of a cop named Parrish. The man took Connor under his wing, giving him life lessons he never got from either parent. He never gave up on Connor, even after he continued to screw up in and out of juvie. He was always there to pick Connor back up and eventually convinced him to go to therapy.

With Parrish’s help, he got his GED at eighteen and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, completing police academy training after graduation. He wants to follow in Parrish’s footsteps in helping troubled youth like himself and maybe, hopefully, find out who killed his mom all those years ago.

Connor was raised by his deeply religious aunt who never wanted him, but felt obligated to take him in after her “wild” sister dropped him off on her. His aunt hated that his father was a hard metal rockstar, convinced it was the “Devil’s music.” Growing up, Connor knew who his father was, but was kept away from anything related to him. She did her best to raise him knowing “good from evil” and emphasized that both his parents were “bad.”

Despite these teachings, Connor longed for a relationship of some kind with his parents, at the very least his mother, but it felt like she wanted nothing to do with him. She would breeze through every once in a while to give him a present, argue with her sister, and leave, never listening to his pleadings for her to take him with her. This caused him to grow bitter and angry at her, and at the father who apparently didn’t want to fight for him either (not knowing that his mother never told him that she was pregnant).

He acted out in school as a result, causing his aunt to grow more resentful of him. He was convinced that nobody wanted him, so who cared what he did with his life? When he was fifteen, the unthinkable happened. He got word that his mother was murdered in a mugging and the man who’d done it evaded the police. His anger at his mother shifted to anger at this murderer. As soon as he turned eighteen, his aunt kicked him out of the house, and Connor went on to earn a bounty hunter’s license, determined to track down the man who killed his mother and bring him to justice.

It took him two years, but he finally found the man. Unable to contain his rage, he beat the man into unconsciousness before dragging him back to the state, where he was tried and found guilty. The rush this hunt and capture gave Connor spurred him to continue, working alongside the local police departments to track down criminals for them. While he has a no-kill policy, he became known for his violence in capturing the men he brought in.

When he caught wind that his father was wanted for murder and had a warrant out for his arrest, Connor determined that would be his next prey and tracked the man to Huntsville.
