If it was simply the banter in which he was teasing Arturia and talking shit,, Bedivere would leave it be. He firmly believes that his King isn’t weak enough to jump up and fight just because someone spit some words at her. Surely, he expects some retorts and a debate between Kings as both have their own kingdoms and have opinions on what a King and his reign should be like. But, Bedivere isn’t a King. That shit is none of his business and he’ll stay out of it unless asked.
He would also stay out of duels unless it is an obviously unfair fight or he deems it necessary that his King might need assistance.
HOWEVER, if it’s later when Gilgamesh was confronting Arturia when they stood before the Grail, Bedivere would have been between them. As a knight, he wouldn’t just sit there and allow Gilgamesh to assault her and disrespect her like that. Bedivere would have been beside her to block the weapons that she missed (that hit her) while she attempted to block another. That is not to say she’d be completely unharmed in any way or that he’s a perfect shield, but he would much rather jump in the way and get hurt than allow his King to take the possible projectiles.
He’s a knight.He will do anything for his King and would gladly take a sword to the face if it would keep Arturia alive.
