This is my third month with Conscious Box; I receive the Gluten Free version. This will be my final month. I was bummed, because there were quite a few items, I received in multiple boxes. The total value is there, however it didn't meet my expectation.
I have to apologize. Sense I had done the conscious unboxing. I didn't take individual pictures of the items I received, however if you'd like to see everything, please watch my unboxing video. I will however, still review all of the items. I am letting you know the prices of the full sized items, so you can see how high quality all of these products are. The Conscious Box Value, is the sample sized value so you can see that you do get the $19.99 value.
Traditional Medicinals Tea: Chamomile with Lavendar Retail Price: $3.60
Conscious Box Value: $.20
Review: Really nice tea, didn't think I'd like the lavender, but it was really pleasant
Via Nature Sensitive Care Lotion (Received two samples) Retail Price: $8.00 Total Conscious Box Value: $.60
Review: This item I received in my february box. I did like it, but didn't like seeing this item again. This is an example of the lack of variety with conscious box.
Mighty Leaf Tea: (Received Three)
Retail Price: $6 a box
Total Conscious Box Value: $1.80
Review: I really like this tea, again received them before. At least I received something I liked, the mint is my husband's favorite. I really enjoyed the Citrus one.
Derma E Soothing Anti-Aging Trifecta (sample)
Retail Price: $49.46
Total Conscious Box Value: $3.80
Review: I have not used this product
Dr. Hauschka Firming Mask (Sample)

Florax Hebron Raspberry Diarrhea Relief (Full Sized)
Retail Price: $7.00
Total Conscious Box Value: $17.80
Review: I have not used this product. I was happy to see a full sized item though. This is the travel one, so I'll bring it on my trip to the Bahamas.
Ips Egg White Chips in Barbaque (Snack Size)
Retail Value: $1.80
Total Conscious Box Value:$19.60
Review: I have tried other flavors of these. They have a nice consistancy, and flavor. I found the bag to be very filling, and could only eat half at a time. Does need to be chased by a bottle of water, for the aftertaste.
Overall review: You do get the value for your money. I did like most things I've received the past three months. However, as I've said before, I was disappointed on how often I received the same thing multiple times. If you are interested check them out, you do get your first month free.

Conscious box is a subscription where they send you a variety of products and samples which are all nature, and eco friendly. There are three types Classic, Gluten Free, and Vegan.
This is what the box looked like prior to unwrapping.
Here is a review of my January box, I have signed up for the Gluten Free box.
What it looked like when I opened it
Mighty Leaf Tea Set of three: Mint, Jasmine, and Earl Grey I tried the Jasmine and it smells amazing! It was nice and light in taste. My husband had the mint and loved it. It is a strong mint flavor and smell. Box of 15 $9.49
Zarbee's Naturals Cough and Throat Relief I haven't had a cold yet to use this, knock on wood! Full Size Bottle $4.99 Cram looks like it is just a Vitamin B complex in fancy packaging. It would be a lot cheaper buying a large bottle of it at CVS. $16.49 for 15 Two Degrees Nutrition Bar Chocolate Banana I had this and the consistancy was weird. There are a lot of seeds in it, which are healthy, but it's like having raspberry seeds in your teeth. The taste wasn't very flavorful. Wont be buying these. Box of 9 $19.95 Nordic Naturals Omega-3 Pet I haven't tried these yet, but it looks interesting. My cats are in their senior years, and supposed to help with joint, immune, and heart health. They say you could just add fish oil to their food and it does the same thing for less. 90 Ct Bottle $17.99
Nordic Naturals Vitamin D3 Gummies This was a really tasty gummy, I loved the flavor and consistency. I would consider this product. 120 Ct Bottle $36.95 Quit Tea The herbs in this tea is supposed to help with cravings and make it easier for you to quit smoking. I do not smoke, but tried it and the taste is pleasant. I'd like to know if it works. Box of 12 $12.99
Sleep Squares This is the full sized item. I used this the other night when I was tossing and turning, trying to fall asleep. The taste is pleasant, very chocolaty. I usually don't take sleeping pills because I'm so groggy the next day, but this was really nice. I fell asleep with in 20 minutes of eating this. I slept a solid 7 hours and woke up feeling amazing. My husband said I didn't move all night. I was out, but loved that I wasn't groggy the next morning. I just felt well rested. Box of 7 = $7.99
Hemp Hearts This is a high protein additive. You can sprinkle it on your cereal, oatmeal, or yogurt and it will boost the protein and make you fuller longer. Its a bit pricey though. $39 for 16 oz (One oz is a serving) Flor-Essence Gentle Detox for the Whole Body Dietary Supplement This is a detox supplement that restores your cells and releases all chemicals and pollution from your body. I haven't tried this yet. 17oz bottle: $53.54 Bumboosa Baby Wipes These baby wipes are made from 100% bamboo. Having a more natural baby wipe is interesting. I don't have a baby, so I couldn't say if it works on a poopy bum, but I did open it and it smells really nice, and the wipe is extremely moist and sturdy.
Numi Garden Tea Spinach and Chive This company has normal teas as well, but they sent the veggie ones. I received the spinach and chive. I am not a chive fan and am having a difficult time getting my husband to try it. They also have carrot, tomato, and other veggie flavored teas. (Update: so I tried, to try this. I couldn't do it, this is not my flavor. Maybe another flavor...but don't want to spend $7 on something I might like) Box of 12: $6.99
This was everything in my box, there were also so coupons and discount postcards. After doing all the math the amount of product with in the box is worth $22.08. It is an interesting subscription and I found a couple things I'd be interested in purchasing. I am looking forward to next month, I hope there are more home items, and not so many dietary supplements, and teas.
I'm pretty sure the ask about the Vegan Cuts box containing animal ingredients was confusing it with the Conscious Box, their vegan box has had animal ingredients before (beeswax and fish oil, that I know of), which is so not ok.
That’s definitely possible, the Conscious Box is made by a non-vegan company and I’ve seen reviews where the “vegan” box has contained non-vegan products. I would not suggest vegans purchase this box, clearly the company does not know what veganism is or what vegans want, considering that great vegan-owned companies like Vegan Cuts exist there’s just no need! :)
Thinking about subscribing to a health box like conscious box or goodness me box, have any of you had the experience with these? Are they worth it?
Thinking about subscribing to Conscious Box. From the reviews I've read, they seem pretty cool and it would be a fun way to be healthier.
Is It Friday Yet?
Is It Friday Yet?
Today I had the biggest craving ever for a smoothie bowl from my local juice bar but they closed before I got off work, c’mon man! After such travesty I put on my big girl pants and channeled my inner smoothie queen and made my own. Now I’m way too full for actual dinner so I’m making an artichoke and letting you all in on my favorite artichoke dipping sauce. I feel like you can go two ways with…
