perhaps he wished for a different response instead of the amused laughter, which tumbled passed her lips as she got comfortable. “ja’far, the kingdom won’t fall apart if you take a day, or a week, off from your duties,” she completely ignored the comment about it being partially her work. sinbad stood up, waited a few moments, before moving anything that could spill and cause a mess out of the way. “i think--” sinbad purposefully sat herself on the desk in an attempt to close ja’far’s from any of the paperwork awaiting his attention. sure, some of it was her’s, but she had scanned it, some of them can wait a day or two. “even if i did all my work, you’d still find an excuse, who would have thought that little assassin boy from back then would turn into such a workaholic.”
sinbad reached out and flicked his nose, “c’mon ja’far, when was the last time we really hung out? and before you say it, i don’t mean the drinking part.” she knew he’d mention that eventually. “if you come hang out with me, i’ll do some of my paperwork tomorrow-- no distractions, promise.”
well, mostly promise.
