I don't know what the issue was but Veterans shouldn't have to go through such garbage. How quickly can one "establish residency?" It isn't as if this was an abandoned piece of property. Even if there had been some "oral agreement" which, pardon me but I highly doubt, it should have been rendered moot once the owner said "get out".
I must be missing something.
