pssst senpai, what is ASMR?
Sit down, my senpai…
I shall introduce you to the magical world that is ASMR
ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. When people like me watch and listen to certain things, ASMR is triggered. It often feels like a tingling on the inside of the forehead and it feels WONDERFUL. There are other ways to experience ASMR, some people experience good-feeling shivers (which is more common for me).
Some triggers are whispering, soft speaking, accents, tapping, crinkling sounds, close-ups, and binaural audio (3D sound).
Of course, you can still watch these videos and still not have ASMR triggered, but they’re still hella relaxing!!
If you don’t know what I’m talking about, one thing that many people have watched and unknowingly experienced ASMR from is a scene from Toy Story 2.
If you ever want to kick back and melt into your seat, here are some of my favorites to get you started.
