Nutcracker AU?

1. Stephen is Clara and Tony is the Nutcracker. That’s because Tony is a futurist and I can see him paying attention to a wooden toy, while Stephen loving it since the first moment and taking “care” of something which can’t get hurt is something terrific on-character;

2. When the weird things TM start to happen, Stephen can’t believe to his eyes. despite being a kid, he’s the kind of person who needs a scientifical explanation for everything and this can’t be real, not at all, though once that the Nutcracker saves him from the mice the only thing he can do is to follow him;

3. Tony doesn’t provide him with real answers to every of Stephen’s question and he’s sure that it’s just a dream even if he can’t understand why should he dream something like that. Tony never tells him about his kingdom or his past, while Stephen understands that there must be something dark that he doesn’t want to disclosure. Stephen respects him, though he’s still more sure about the fact that it’s just a dream;

4. That’ until they reach the Land of Sweets. Stephen can’t think about something like that, and his mind would never create such an intelligent, nice and caring person as Tony is just to finish said dream with the Prince dancing with the Sugar Plum Fairy (who’s Pepper, I guess?);

5. The day after, though, when he wakes up, Stephen finds that he’s hugging his toy and there are gingerbread soldiers all over the room and starts to believe more firmly in whatever he lived in that weird dream, never forgetting about the Prince he met.
