Per a deal struck in the Continuity Polls we have established some basic details about the Sonic Characters as appearing in this Comic. This does not reflect my or the readers opinions on Sonic Canon, only what we want to establish in the setting of this world to better distinguish the Characters and explore their Story Arcs.
You can find more information about The Characters on their links in the Master Post, these will be updated as the characters grow.
This Post is for the characters Past, and will influence how flashbacks and character choices outside of polls can go.
Classic, the child Sonic who traveled to the future in Sonic Generations and Sonic Forces, is not Game!Sonic's past self, but the Sonic from Sonic Prime who was able to Dimension Hop because his world has the Paradox Prism. Prime Sonic, unlike Game Sonic, remembers meeting his future self and all his future friends, and this heavily influenced how he grew and interacted with the characters in his world.
As a result Prime!Sonic is often more sweet natured and emotionally open than Game!Sonic, and of the characters summoned to The Cloister these two have already met and formed a strong bond of friendship.
Sonic Prime is also set after Lost World as the Lost World plot sets up Prime's main conflicts well. Sonic is overconfident, acts without thinking, doesn't listen to Tails' warning in a brash moment, and all the main characters are gathered in the area away from their individual homes. This also sets up the theme of appreciating nature, as Lost World saw them almost lose all the natural life around them to the energy drain.
Sonic and The Black Knight
SATBK is set during Forces, specifically the months Sonic was supposedly imprisoned by Eggman.
When Infinite traps Sonic in the Null Space to imprison him, Sonic is actually transported to Camelot by the Wizard Merlina, Granddaughter of Merlin, he help defeat the Tyrant King Arthur and his malevolent forces from Annwn, the otherworld that lay around, under, and alongside theirs.
How long he stays there and the manner of his return are still a mystery, but 6 months passed in his home world before he was summoned back by Infinite to be executed by Eggman via airlock into the cold void of space.
This establishes that Sonic was not tortured or trapped in his time with Eggman, and suffered no psychological trauma from his confinement for 6 months. He was in Camelot during this time. It also means his memories of SATBK are fresh at hand, as he is the only Character in The Cloister who can recognize much of the items, locations, and clues in the ruins.
