How to train a man to be a woman
So for my first story I will share the continuous adventures of me and my friend P.
It started off at the beginning of the month with a message out of the blue from a friend of mine on facebook:
T! I know out of the blue. It happens. How are you? I'm totally writing to say hi, of course! But also with a potential favor? Advice? I wont go into too much detail, but I've been cast in a little indie film as a character fairly foreign to me. Before going into crazy detail, just thought i'd ask how you'd feel about me picking your brain? Haha. I thought of you because from what I know of you you pretty much tell it like it is, no sugar coating. Which i think i'd need.
So yeah. Vague. I know. How are you? haha.. talk to you soon. P
After some catchup chatting I prompted him to tell me what it was that he needed advice on:
Ok ok first of all, let me preface this by saying that you in NO WAY remind me of this character. I mean it when I say I think you would be fairly brutally honest. Which is what I'm looking for. Soo...the character is a transgendered character. The shortest summary is that she gets attacked and ends up killing her attacker. And this inner strength she found helps her become a stronger person. I was called in a few times. Helps that I have a lot of fight training, and some dance background. But now I'm sitting here thinking...holy hell...what did I just sign up for
seeing as how you're not trans..lol...any thoughts on just being a girl/woman, etc. I don't know if i have specific questions or concerns. just know she's living full time as a woman now. So there is everything that comes with that Let me pick your brain then for the female side of things perhaps?
Ok so I completely understand why he is looking for advice because he doesn't want it to look like a joke or that he is making fun of that community. And that is very admirable. But how does one explain being a girl?
Well we started off with mannerisms like how when girls sit they don't open their legs wide. So to curb this instinct he now has to sit with either his ankles or legs crossed at all time.
Next we moved on to clothing. His other friend B took him out shopping the next day and got P to buy a whole new wardrobe all girl from the underthings on out. She then proceeded to get into P's apartment and swipe all his boy underwear and some of his favorite boy clothing items. P is now wearing at minimum girl underthings every day because he does not have anything else.
Side note that P is also married but the wife does not want to teach him how to be a girl. Which is understandable. And he now has a massive appreciation and understanding of how girls put themselves together everyday so he has a whole new respect for his wife and encourages her even more now that she is beautiful without the makeup.
P is now getting more comfortable with being in girl skin and has even learned how start speaking like a girl
But ladies of Tumblr we can not do this alone! Give me your best advice on being a girl, tips, tricks, or moments you want to share! The next big adventure is being out as a girl and interacting with society and possibly a date since in the film his character has a steady boyfriend. We want P to be real so not just sunshine and sparkles but also have things that make her strong like we all are and the little things that make us all beautiful.
