A mini-PSA for nintendo switch pro-controller users:

If you notice that your analog stick isn't working right (like mine was just now) and you've gone through calibration and all that jazz and it still doesn't work right, before you contact nintendo and they charge you exorbitant fees for repair make sure you check for dust buildup along the base of the stick. A gentle blow on the area where the stick goes under the shell of the controller completely fixed my problem. Make sure you're pressing the stick down a little too, so the air can pass through.

This isn't the same as the "blow into the cartridge slot" thing, this one is actually real.

Did a repair on a Switch 1 Joy-Con!

Soldering for the first time, and of course I burnt myself, but in practicing, I was able to get this broken controller working! I think it just needed a good cleaning on the other side of the back board where I had to desolder wires to get to properly. Next I'm hoping to replace the joysticks on this thing.

While I've been inactive online, been learning to fix a bunch of stuff, from old game consoles, controller, dishes, to a whole ass AC unit! It's been a fun and expected journey I've been going the past two months, and I plan to work on some more things.

Just got some sweet new controllers in! Just gotta replace some parts in the joystick and clean them up! I think I'll stream the repair and clean up.

Bit of a different kind of video today, this one is fixing and refurbishing a Dualshock 3 controller that has received some rage quit treatment (It’s also filthy).
