“It took time to know someone. It took time to love them; of what you thought they were—but pretended to be. It took more time to come to realize what you knew wasn’t really true. That they were trying to be someone who you needed them to be, but only til they can have you. Then after some time of great acting, it became a burden to be something they were not so their real colors ended up surfacing. By then it was too late to turn back because you’ve already given them your heart. So you held on, hoping they’d see through the pain they’ve inflicted upon you and maybe become a better person.. like the beginning of it all. It took time to turn that love into nothing, but it took more time trying to not hate them for the pain they’ve so often put you through because of their past issues and insecurities they didn’t work hard to heal from. So now you’re stuck between still loving them and wanting to get rid of your feelings for them.”
