amara stood up from the table in front of her, thank the tarot reader and handed her a tip, before turning on her heels and walking away. she caught the eye of someone nearby and her brows knitted together, "i'm not sure if she just told me all of my dreams will come true or if i am in for my worst nightmare. the message was ... unclear?" she scratched the back of her neck, the puzzled look still on her face for a moment before she shook it off, "i think i need a drink after that."

"come on, come on, come on," she repeated, dragging the other by their wrist. the night was winding down post artist performances and one of her favorite parts of solemare had finally arrived — beach karaoke. she weaved through people as best she could, bumping some along the way, as she neared the beach, and then she came to an abrupt stop. "wait," she said, almost as if she was caught off guard, and turned to the other, "what am i going to sing? actually, what are you going to sing? that's the better question."

"no, no i know!" she all but whined to the person on the phone. she had gotten caught up with another group, the ever busy woman that she is, on the way to noah kahan's set and now she was all but running to get there to where her friends were. "seriously, just help me get there and find you guys i'm almost —" she felt her shoulder collide with another, her phone flying from her hand onto the ground between them. "shit!" this was just her luck, truly.

amara stood near the wish wall, the final day of the festival going on around her as she waited her turn. she had just enough liquor flowing through her for her to place a wish upon the wall, believing that perhaps that wish would come true just as everyone else's would. she turned to the woman next to her, "did you leave one? or planning to?"

she wasn't entirely sure where she was headed anymore, that had pretty much stopped mattering an hour ago. every time another song drifted across the beach, she'd find herself following it for a little while before something else stole her attention, whether that be a food stall, a conversation, the sound of people laughing somewhere off to the side. amara slowed near the edge of the crowd, listening for a second, as she took another bite of a fish taco she had managed to snag moments before. the beat of the music from the stage washed over her, this was the exact kind of day she needed. she turned to the person next to her, raised eyebrow, "how's your solemar going so far? day one treating you well?"

the wish wall had turned into one of those things people couldn't help slowing down for. amara had meant to leave one note and keep walking. instead, she'd spent the last few minutes reading little pieces of strangers' summers. some were hopeful, some funny, one simply asking for 'a really good nap'. a quiet laugh slipped out before she caught herself lingering longer than she'd planned. "i honestly don't know why I thought they'd all be serious." she stepped aside, giving someone else room at the wall, pointing at one right above her eye level, "like this one, i think it may be my favorite so far. it just says, 'stop texting him.'"
