In retrospect, maybe Rowan should have stopped for coffee before she went shopping.
The witch balanced cloth tote bags on either shoulder as she carefully backed out of the cafe with a cup of coffee gripped tightly in her hand. And just as she turned to let the door go, she bumped right into someone.
“Shit--” One of the bags slid off her shoulder and landed heavily on an elbow, causing her to drop the coffee. All over her shoes, and the shoes of the person standing behind her who was... trying to hold the door for her. She was just moving too quickly to notice. Her mouth dropped open when she realized who she’d literally bumped into.
“Sev,” Rowe said. “I’m so sorry, let me--damn it.” Rowe helplessly stared at the spilled coffee and the empty cup. She really wanted that coffee, too. “I’m an idiot.”
