Albert was a longtime friend of alcohol, it made him feel better than most people could and things. The barn party was one for the books, and he spent a lot of the night drinking with others and on his phone trying to get one boy to at least dance with him or end the night with him. The party was invite only, and most of the men here were looking for hooking-up - but Al wasn’t the person the guys were yearning after.
The weather was not in his favor, and Al tended to dress for the occasion and not the weather for parties. People were stumbling out as they were making there way towards vehicles or beginning the miserable walk back. Al had a friend on stand-by that was keeping his phone on loud should Al need it. A boy he actually had a light crush on told Al he’d meet with him near the side of the barn and go back to his dorm, but the time was thinning and Al wasn’t getting any responses back.
He took several hits from his dab pen, easing the stress of standing out here waiting for something that was looking to be more and more unlikely. Al pulled his flask from his pocket, downing what little was left. Was he crazy for standing out here this long - probably?
“My life would be so much easier if I was straight.” His legs were growing tired and cold, and Al used his back to slide towards the ground and not even caring about his jacket he was trying hard to avoid getting dirty. That’s when he looked to his left and spotted Nico standing next to him. “Sin Preocupaciones, Nico. This boy said he was going to meet me here...” Al looked at his phone. “20 minutes ago.” He put his phone into his lap, taking more hits out of his pen. “You should get going, this weather is no joke.”
