CookUnity Tomato-Braised Chicken
over orecchiette.
I’m glad I saved these pastas for last, cuz these last two were both pretty good. I have no idea what an orecchiette* is, but it’s pasta of some kind! Once this was heated (2 minutes in the microwave as always - 3 is too much!), I put the chicken on top of the pasta and then gave it a good helping of the Parmesan cheese. They provided way too much Parmesan cheese, but it was good. The chicken was fantastic, despite this being one of the ones that I ended up freezing it cooked up really nice and was moist and incredibly flavorful. The pasta even managed to survive really well for the most part and tasted great. There was also zucchini bits in with the chicken? I’m not a huge zucchini fan, but it seemed to go really well with everything else in the meal.
*Orecchiette is a type of pasta that has a unique ear-like shape
And that’s it for the CookUnity meals! Again pretty disappointed with some of these, definitely disappointed with the use by dates and none of them were really prepared to be frozen so it was hit or miss with whether they could handle it well at all. A lot of these had really high calories and carbs, while frankly not enough protein. These being “created by chefs” I expected more fresh ingredients, but so much - the vegetables, especially - were all canned and lacked a lot of flavor and dimension because of that. My husband, on the other hand, really enjoyed them and how restaurant-quality they were. I, personally, don’t think I will try CookUnity again.
