Cookie Biology 101: Cake Cookies

Cake cookies are cookies who were baked with a high amount of cake in their dough. They are in the Pastry category of Cookie Biology, but sometimes, they dip into the bread category.

Cake cookies fall into the pastry category. Pastries are similar to breads, but their dough contains milk and butter instead of water. There are more confusing cakes, though, that can also be classified as bread, such as Banna Bread or Yeast Cakes

There are many flavors and ingredients for different kinds of cakes, so there are plenty of cake flavor mixes as well. As cakes usually have lots of frosting, these cookies have a lot of frosting (hair) as well, which can also contain soft cake crumbs (such as Birthday Cake Cookie). They contain more creamy fillings in their dough, which makes their dough fuller (less flat). The texture for cakes can vary, with some having soft dough (like freshly baked cakes), or some having a Crispy outer layer of dough with softer under layers (like if a cookie was baked with pund cake). As many cake cookies were baked from celebrations (you know how more babies are conceived in February and New Years? Imagine that, but it's cookies Baking children as a celebration), cake cookies are more often associated with parties or celebrations, and so, they tend to have more decorative ingredients in their dough (such as Wedding Cake Cookie and Birthday Cake Cookie).

While cake cookies have existed ever since cookies were a thing, due to the Dark Flour War, there has been more discrimination of cake cookies due to their ingredients. Cake cookies are often seen as more violent and less developed than other flavors :(

ᯓᡣ𐭩 When he was back to working regularly, you saw him more at the end of days or very early morning. He'd always pay more attention to his boy if you had Dark Choco in your arms, but he regarded you with polite smalltalk as well

ᯓᡣ𐭩 He began coming to the nursery to take a rest whenever he needed, and you'd chuckle while asking him about his routine for the day. He slowly started opening up to you more and more, watching his son while doing such

ᯓᡣ𐭩 It then escalated to you rubbing his sore shoulders, offering to clean his armor, and helping him hang up his sword. While he invited you around with the guise that the young prince needed your attention, you began spending equal time with both of them

ᯓᡣ𐭩 He'd ask you to occasionally accompany him on walks when he had the free time, made sure you got the good seats at banquets, and always left his door open for you when it was time for visiting. You once teased that he seemed just as excited for these visits as Dark Choco, which to your amusement made the King defensively flustered

ᯓᡣ𐭩 One night in particular, you felt his head leaning on your arm as you were reading Dark Choco to sleep. Your presence was such great comfort to him that he found it easy to slip into a dream near you. You began petting his hair, lightly running your hand through it as he pressed into you more with a tired grumble. Kings need support too, you supposed with a tender smile

Fuck it. Firewind Headcanons bcuz the ship has been growing on me, and I'm seeing a lack of them

-At first, Fire Spirit had a bit of a celebrity crush on Wind Archer because he liked how powerful he was (Fire's already shown to like anything that's powerful) and he thought they'd be a good match when it came to fighting together (his quote "Fire only grows in the wind!" made me think of that)

-Wind Archer Cookie was a little more weary of him. For one, Fire Spirit's flames could harm both him (Wind Archer) and the forest. FS is also reckless and doesn't take his guardian duties seriously, which got on Wind Archer's nerves

-Whenever the two met, Fire Spirit would personally annoy Windy to get a rise out of him. Used to work a lot, but now, Windy is used to it

-Despite Fire Spirit being an overconfident bastard and being all, "I'm not afraid of anything!", he has yet to tell Wind Archer how he feels bcuz he's nervous. To avoid seeming weak, his brain does a lot of mental gymnastics on why he chickens out on saying anything that ranges from "I don't actually have a crush on him, I just think he's cool" "I'll tell him later", "Why do we even NEEED to tell cookies we like them anyways?" And every once in a while, he'll cave and be like, "Okay, yeah, in scared to tell him"

-Fire Spirit Cookie's version of flirting is through teasing. Because that's literally how he always is with everyone, Wind Archer Cookie can't tell the difference and just thinks that he's being annoying. Whenever Fire Spirit DOES flirt with him that isn't teasing, Wind Archer will just blush and mumble and be like, "Stop it. We have work to do."

-Wind Archer rarely goes to Dragon's Valley, so Fire Spirit is the one that visits him in Millenial Forest most often

-On Windy's side when it comes to his crush, he doesn't really act any different. I imagine, if his crush was an average cookie, he'd be more protective of them, but Fire Spirit can handle himself. Best I can day is that he's a tsundere who is like, "You don't have to bother me everytime you visit the forest, Fire Spirit Cookie." And when Fire Spirit actually listens to him and doesn't visit him, he's like, "Why didn't you come see me?" He'd also just talk to him more and be more open, which is something he doesn't do with other cookies

-Wind Archer Cookie fell second. I wouldn't say he had an "Oh" moment, but it was more of a gradual thing and admitting to himself, "Okay, yeah, I like him." He doesn't really do anything about it though bcuz he believes that it will distract from his guardian duties

-If Windy ever DOES decide to confess, it'd take a while bcuz he'd wait to find "the perfect moment" and "the perfect words" and all of that

-Only time he'd ever get flustered is when Fire Spirit flirts with him that isn't teasing. Even then, he just hides his blush under his scarf and acts like nothing happened (smthn image i showed. Tho in the photo, Windy is blushing bcuz he's embarrassed, not bcuz he thinks Fire Spirit is flirting with him)

-One time Windy flirted back with Fire Spirit. It wasn't obvious and you'd have to squint to see it, but that was the one time Windy got Fire Spirit to stutter

-Millenial Tree Cookie clocked in that Wind Archer has a crush on Fire Spirit and he thinks it's very cute. He just wants his wind to be happy, lol

I Think It Does A Disservice To The Beast Backstories If Their Downfall Was All Because Of Shadow Milk

I think the theory Shadow Milk is behind their fall does a disservice to their stories as a whole. I know it's a backlash to Shadow Milk's popularity but on the other hand it would simplify their stories into just blaming him. The biggest theme of all their stories they were made to fulfill a role in the world set by the witches but due to the weight of their positions got corrupted by futility or by cookiekind's shitty behavior. I know people take the idea that Shadow Milk spread rumors and tie them with Mystical Flour, but how did Burning Spice story tie with Shadow Milk he came to corruption after realizing each civilization would eventually fall and stopped caring until he became obsessed with destruction. And while he spread rumors of Eternal Sugar's paradise to crumble cookies, ultimately she became corrupted due to believing cookies would be happy if they just stayed in her garden and not go outside the world. It also robs them of their autonomy as well that they came to the place they were at, so I am against this theory.
