That bein the reason for their differing outline colours is an interesting take, but I feel like I missed part of this conversation but I'm not complaining haha :,)
Other than that- I already assumed that the reason why Omori is drawn with a black pen is because of how dull/gloomy he is/feels. I think it's also because Sunny might think he doesn't deserve to be colourful, if that makes sense? He can't really live with himself and the truth and depends on headspace with his ideal image of his friends to escape his reality, so it makes sense that they have are more colourful than Omori. Basil isn't outlined in purple like the others most likely because he also knows the truth and was Sunny's "accomplice".
