And, unlike poképuffs, there weren't many pokémon with whom he could safely share human-made cookies.
Once Touya had retrieved a cookie, N took a tentative bite of his own. Mmm ... Definitely fresh, definitely warm. Crispy-edged, just sweet enough, with still-melted chocolate chips. He smiled slowly, savoring the flavor and texture.
He was reluctant to reply to Touya's question, if only because it required him to not have a mouthful of warm cookie. "Occasionally, but not what I would consider often." After all, delicious as they were, human sweets were not particularly nutritious. His limited funds had to be allotted elsewhere, on most occasions. "It's very easy to forage for berries at this time of year, however. They're quite delicious."
N took another bite, savored it, and swallowed before continuing. He was still unreasonably pleased to be considered Touya's friend, but the offer made him strangely uncomfortable. He didn't want Touya to go out of his way for him, especially since he felt he had no way to return the favor. Maybe he'd just ... evade the topic, a bit. "Do you know how to make anything with berries? If I find some, would you show me how to bake them?"
