Finished watching ANOTER stupid thing (I'm watching way too many things nowadays). And what was it? An old Ralph Bakshi movie called Streetfight or Coonskin. (short review down below)
Anyways, I remembered its existence when I was looking back on some clips from TT on an account, then I thought, “maybe I should give it a watch?” and I will say, I very much love the animation and the performance of half the cast. I was pretty worried as someone of my colour (white..*gulp* /hj) watching a film where black people were animated in a not so good way. But honestly, it was a pretty nice film about how America treats POC and the struggles of their life. This was actually my first time watching a Ralph Bakshi movie and I might consider watching another of his. (not sure if I'll do Fritz the Cat though… maybe in the future or sum)
I will say quickly, I REALLY loved Brother Rabbit when I was watching the film. He was pretty funny and definitely gonna be a character I'll rewatch clips for. there MIGHT be a chance I'll make fan art of him cuz I genuinely can't stop thinking about that rabbit :’)
BTW I fully recommend checking out AniMat’s review of the movie!!
