Copper was inconsolable and Alec didn’t know what to do. He had never seen his brother like this.
Copper: I ruined everything... Why am I such an idiot?
Alec: Copper... calm down, you can still fix things
Copper: No I can’t, Elina hates me and that baby...it deserves a better dad, not a piece of garbage like me.
In that moment Copper received another text from Paula. Copper stopped crying for a second and then continued with even more force.
“It’s twins”
Doctor: Elina I’m going to need you to push really hard now, ok?

Three months had passed and there wasn’t a day in which Copper thought about them.
He had just gotten home after a long shift when he got a text. It was Paula telling him Elina was at the hospital and was gonna have the baby anytime now.
Copper felt his breath leave his body and uncertainty hit him. What could he do? Should he show up there? He didn’t deserve it... He had done enough.
So he dragged himself to his bedroom with a case of beers and proceeded to light a cigar.
Elina: What do you want?
Copper: Eli... I don’t know how to say this, you probably won’t believe me but I swear you are the only one I care about.
Elina: *slaps him* Don’t fuckin’ lie to me! And don’t call me Eli!
Alec: Stand up man... get it together
Copper: What’s the point? I can’t be there...I can’t
Alec: I know, but you need to be strong. We can go there if you want
Copper: No... I don’t deserve it.
Copper: I swear... I love you
Elina: GET AWAY FROM ME! Go away... hasn’t it been enough?! I don’t care about what you say... I don’t believe you anymore. You are dead to me!
Copper: Elina please... I will do anything! Just... give me another chance. I am prepared to give everything to you and the baby... oh God, I swear I’ll do anything!

Alec: Copper what’s wrong?
Tears had been streaming down his face for so long now. He felt like absolute shit... missing the birth of his baby. He just wanted to die.
Alec: Hey! What’s going on? Joan what are you doing?
Joan: Your brother... he’s garbage! I’m gonna kill him!
Alec had to use all his strength to try to stop Joan, he was like a beast. After a while, he finally stopped and left but not without warning Copper to never come close to Elina again.
