(Gonna have to click for quality on all of these, lads.)
I have a sacred tradition of spending Superbowl Sunday ignoring football and drawing baby clone troopers. This year, I'm proud to present itty-bitty Mooks and Clay discovering the wonders of Kaminoan wildlife.
Hopefully, I'll have the time and motivation to color it later.
Past years' pieces and tags below the cut.
In 2024, I made this comic, featuring teeny-tiny Jesse and my OC, Clay
Last year, I put all of my nonexistent digital art skills into an illustration for @kybercrystals94 's excellent wip tbb fic, The Defender
(This is a shameless friend promotion. Go read her fic.)

Happy sportsball to everyone else who refuses to observe.
Oh, my brittle little terracotta soldier. You were moulded in trial by fire. It made you firm and strong, but you can't bend, only break. You're hard as stone, but try as you might, you're also fragile as eggshell. It's only a matter of time before you cut someone you love with your jagged edges.
Or, I had a lot of thoughts about the symbolism around Clay's name.
This is actually the first part of a dual portrait, but I'm kind of disappointed with the full work, so I'm posting this by itself for the present.

The first clone trooper I ever tried to draw was Rex, and the drawing was so horrendous even to my 14yo sensibilities that I didn't finish it. (It's somewhere in my old art but I refuse to look for it.) Anyway, flash forward many years and even more clone drawings, and I realized that I haven't tried a serious portrait of Rex since. So I decided to rextify rectify that grave injustice.
He is still a very beloved guy to me.

I had so much fun experimenting with angles and lighting on this one. He may be objectively the best clone I've drawn to date. (Ignore the fact that the only references I used were my friend's drawings. I trust her more than Lucasfilm.)

Headcanon that Echo doesn't enjoy listening to recorded music after Skako Minor because it doesn't sound right through his cochlear implants. However, he discovers that he likes feeling bass vibrating from speakers with his implant turned off, which is very convenient because Tech loves to play music with low brass and strings at very loud volumes when he's working, and it becomes a favorite pastime between missions. (Though they only do it when Hunter isn't around because the loud music bothers him.)
