FRIEND!! This is my Angela and tony enter into a marriage of convenience circa s2 so they have a better chance of keeping jonathon when Michael she’s for custody fic! It’s still hella rough but I’ll give you a snippet of them checking into the hotel after their wedding:

She reached the front desk and a woman with the name tag Theresa looked up.

“How can I help you?”

Angela tried not to think of the last time she’d encountered a woman with the same name and smiled back. “I think there’s a reservation for Mr. and Mrs. B-Micelli.”

Theresa nodded. “Oh yes, newlyweds! Congratulations. Here are your keys and there should be some champagne and cake in your room, Mrs. Micelli.”

Mrs. Micelli, that was going to take some getting used to. In fact, Angela still wasn’t entirely sure about it. “T-thank you.”

“You’re welcome,” Theresa paused and looked around, “is Mr. Micelli--”

“Right here,” said Tony as he appeared with a trolley and a bellhop. He nodded and read Theresa’s nametag. “Thank you, Theresa. You ready, Ang?”

Angela nodded. “Apparently cake and champagne await us.”

Tony beamed. “We wouldn’t want to waste any time then.” He gently placed his hand at the small of her back while Theresa gave their room number to the bellhop.

Angela tried to look relaxed at the contact. It seemed no matter how many times Tony touched her, the sensation was still foreign and thrilling. She tried to hide the small gasp that escaped her but knew she’d been unsuccessful when Tony whispered in her ear.

“You ok?”

She took a deep breath and smiled. “Of course. I wonder what kind of cake Mother told them.”

“Fudge,” offered Tony as they got into the elevator. “And it was me.”

top 5 tony & angela moments!

1. The hug from s1ep15 “Angela’s Ex Part 1” because I think until that point they both hadn’t quite grasped how much they’d ventured into friendship and I just really love that Tony is so moved he can’t just shake her hand and he doesn’t dare hold tight till Angela hugs back. It just makes me emosh

2. Tony’s “I love you” in The Annivrsary Show (s2 finale). I guess technically it’s not so much the moment it happens but everything else around it like Angela’s conversation with Mona and how she lets it slide later when she visits tony in the hospital. Also tony asking Angela to take care of Sam if anything ever happens to him. I just think it’s this moment that not only plays to their many moments of ughh please just be honest with each other but also really cements that by this point they truly are family.

3. When Tony helps Angela in s3 complete her list of things we wishes she’d done as a teenager. I think one of the coolest and sweetest things about their relationship is the amount of play that exists in it. Like they joke together and have fun and tease each other. And this episode is just a brilliant example of how that’s something Tony has uniquely brought to Angela (and Jonathon’s) life. So he never calls her quest silly, he just completes it with her.

4. When Angela buys Tony a new car at the end of s5. I specifically love it because it’s a good demonstration of the fact that Angela tries to do something nice, doesn’t realize the implications, apologizes and notes that she’s heard Tony then figures out a way in which he’s comfortable. Let’s face it, there exists a power imbalance in their relationship but Angela never exploits it and this moment really shows how much she’s learned and grown in their relationship.

5. When Tony decides he wants to be a teacher and Angela says she’s always known he’s do great things. It’s just so sweet and she just believes in him so much and he doesn’t say it but I think it’s Angela’s approval that really makes him think yeah ok this is the right decision.

Special mentions to: the series finale, the discussion around the 101 Dalmatians not date, Angela’s moment of realization in s4 that she’s in love with Tony, Tony recreating Angela’s prom, all of It Happened One Summer, Angela volunteering to do housework while Tony does his internship, Tony being inspired by Angela (and Mona) to go to college, Tony walking Angela to the door after his housewarming party, Tony writing Angela a poem, their first date, pretending to be married both times, etc.

When did you start watching/reading: i used to watch it with my mum when i was a kid but i didn’t go back and watch it properly until s5 was airing so 2009!

One thing this show/book/film does better than others: the score!!! hands down best original soundtrack

Most boring plotline: i find some of s2 a bit laggy but i wouldn’t call it boring

Best flashback/flashfoward if any: oh jesus um walkabout maybe? if only for That Reveal
