2009 + secrets
it’s treason season every year baby
It’s no accident that he was here. He’s heard it through the grapevine that Ms. Morris, political consultant to none other William Bell, liked to come to lunch here. So, he’s been eating here every day of this week, hoping she’d show up. So far, no luck. But he is nothing but not persistent. He thinks that today is going to be a failure too when she walked in, placed at the table beside him. She’s given the menu, while he looked at his own. After a few minutes, he put on a puzzled expression, lowering his menu lightly. “Oh, miss,” he said with a charmingly honeyed voice, looking in her direction. “You don’t happen to know what’s good here, do you? It’s my first time here and my, everything looks so fancily described.”
K♥️ - Who does your muse look up to as a role model?
RBG, Toni Morrison, Billie Jean King
HC + heat
He despises the heat. He grew up in a shitty Brooklyn apartment with no AC and it was the literal bane of his existence as he spent the entire day avoiding his apartment by sleuthing around coffee shops and friends’ houses, only to come back home in the evening and sit in front of no less than three fans with an ice cube tray placed in front of them.
Being able to turn on and off an AC in his home and office now is an absolute absurdity to Vir. It drives him crazy, the way those around him seem to take the AC for granted while he stares at it with a kind of childlike awe. The power once went out, taking all cooling with it, for two hours in the middle of June and to this day that’s the closest Vir’s gotten to actively murdering Leon Solis.
Could it be said that today’s rain would wash away DC’s solemn mood? Or did it only make things more miserable? They sky was dark, verging on some kind of near apocalyptic mood. Sometimes, he thought that things like weather might not be random; that it was no coincidence. Was this Theresa, showing her displeasure of what had happened? That she’d been let down by men once last time. Whatever it really was, life went on. Things were busier than ever, and he was whizzing from meeting to meeting, keeping himself relevant. He’s just left from one meeting, walking out onto the street. He could call a car, but at times he liked to walk around city. Especially in a moment like this, when they were emptier than usual. People avoided the rain like the plague, terrified of mucking up their designer clothes. But it’s just a material object. It’s just money. Up ahead, he spotted a flash of blonde hair, standing underneath a shop sign, keeping out of the rain. The face is recognized at once. He approached her, umbrella in hand. “Hello, Ms. Morris,” he said with a friendly smile. “You look a little stuck.” No doubt not wanting to get wet, but being unable to step out without doing so.
9♣️ 3♣️ K♥️
9♣️ - What is your muse’s proudest accomplishment?
Being named Chief of Naval Operations - especially after leaving active duty, which was incredibly embarrassing and painful for him, to be able to basically climb to one of the highest offices in the Navy makes him very proud.
3♣️ - How creative is your muse?
About as creative as any situation requires! He’s had to problem-solve as a military leader and worked his way out of situations quickly. That said, he’s not creative in the traditional sense as far as anything like art or music.
K♥️ - Who does your muse look up to as a role model?
His uncle on his father’s side - he was a Navy vet from the Korean war and Will admired the man’s strength and wanted to emulate it, which put him on his whole life’s path.
K♠️ 3♥️ 2♣️
K♠️ - What is one thing your muse considers a grave injustice?
I think he would probably name issues like hunger and homelessness. (Which is.... pretty hypocritical coming from a rich guy, but I like to think he’s got enough of a heart to put at least a little bit of money where his mouth is.)
3♥️ - How would your muse react to a confession of love?
I know I answered this the last time this meme went around, but the tl;dr is that he’d be mostly happy, especially if (as is likely) he was the one to confess it first, but also probably pretty anxious about it. (Also..... since this actually already happened since I last answered?)
2♣️ - What topics of conversation does your muse enjoy the most?
Politics and law are probably pretty obvious. Sports, too - especially baseball, as we all know. News or anything else he’s been reading.
J♣️ 3♦️ A♦️
J♣️ - Who does your muse trust the most?
Probably her mother - she trusts her judgment and frequently asks her advice. It certainly helps that her mother isn’t a Washington type. Outside of that, probably friends in town, like Nick or Anne.
3♦️ - How does your muse handle indecision?
It depends on the seriousness of the question. For something important, she’ll do a lot of research and get advice and second opinions. For more minor decisions, she’ll just go with her gut.
A♦️ - What is the most important message your muse has ever received?
A few options: the first contact she had from Theresa offering her a position with her office or the news that they had won in 2016, as both changed her life personally and professionally.
