If you decide to follow 'la Strada del Prosciutto e dei Vini dei Colli' (the ham and wine from the hills trail), chances are you will end up in Corniglio, a small mountain village located between the valleys Val Parma and Val Bratica. Part of the National Park of the Tuscan–Emilian Apennines, Corniglio is a beautifully preserved place with splendid stone portals on either side of Via Roma street. Corniglio is best known for its 13th-century castle, which was owned by the Rossi and Farnese family. It wasn't until 1820 that the local council took possession of the castle. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲: To get to Corniglio, you need to catch a bus from Parma to Langhirano. There you can catch the 2062 bus to Corniglio.
