We're having to suddenly get used to new technology and routines, and we're more isolated than ever because of the threat of deathly illness if we leave our home. Anybody who says they're okay is lying, to you or themselves.
The main issue my classmates and I have encountered is the feeling that we have all this extra time to do work because we don't have to go anywhere, but because we're at home we are too distracted to work because we feel like we should be tending to our home and family instead. We all have to do some hardcore time management and boundary setting so we can dedicate the time and energy required to our school work without sacrificing our health.
I highly recommend reaching out to your classmates and other peers to see how they're handling things, because they can reassure you the most that you're not the only one struggling, and they might have some techniques you could use to stay focused without burning out. If there is a tutor or Learning Strategist, get in touch with them. Start checking in with a counselor, especially with seasonal affect coming into play at this time of year. Talk to your teacher to clarify anything related to your assignments, or if you think you might need an extension on anything. Take advantage of all of the supports offered to you as a student, because you might need them, especially now.
