#173 #BeDecisive We saw a third consecutive historical #movie, The Death of #Stalin. Although some wouldn’t necessarily call it historical since it is satire, but I still learned more than I ever knew about the power struggle after Stalin’s death. One the players after Stalin's death was Stalin's second in command, Georgy Malenkov, who succeeded #Stalin as the Premier of the Soviet Union. Unfortunately for Malenkov, he wasn’t very good at being decisive and that was probably one of the reasons why he lost control of his position to Machiavellian Nikita Khrushchev. Now this is an extreme case of where being indecisive can cause ones downfall and, of course, this film is a hyperbole highlighting the happenings after Stalin’s death, but it still offers a valid lesson in decision-making. “Make up your mind to act decidedly and take the consequences. No good is ever done in this world by hesitation.” Thomas Huxley It is often better to make a bad decision than no decision at all. At least when you make a bad decision and discover it, you can change and go in the right direction. If you don’t decide, then circumstances will decide for you. You lose control. Deciding enables you to keep control as much as possible. Don’t give the keys to someone else to drive. You drive. Be decisive! #bepositive #traindaily #eatwell #livewell Pics: lovely #vegan #homemade food Notes: Played #soccer after a week long break. I took it easy because of the #Achilles and the #corporate5k on Thursday. I player #keeper for a while and then when I went out, I only ran about 1.9 mile. I did score a #goal! Yay! 20180411
