[ tuck ] to place a blanket on my muse
He was sitting in Gladio’s camping chair, quietly dosing off when he felt something warm and heavy fall over him. It had the opposite effect however, although Gladiolus was gentle about putting the blanket over Cor, Cor was a very light sleeper. His eyes open tiredly, as he realized just how exhausted he was. He was even still holding a half-eaten bowl of food Ignis had cooked. In honesty he didn’t expect to be staying the night. He hadn’t even been expected to be asked to come for dinner.
“Thank you.” Cor remarked, pulling the blanket up so he could set the dish of food down. He needed to sleep, it was obvious by the bags under his eyes and the way he was dosing so much. Still, he needed to set out, and he didn’t want to burden the retinue any longer. “But, I really should be going actually.” Cor remarked. “The meal was lovely.” He looked around, but turned his focus on Gladiolus.
“Perhaps we’ll cross paths again, but... in the meantime I should be going.” Cor started to fold up the blanket, offering it back out to Gladio when he was done. He looked him in the eyes, feeling a bit guilty for leaving them. “Thank you for inviting me. I wish you safety on your journey.”
