“Sounds like a normal Friday night.” It wasn’t like Simon had anything better planned. He and Leah could hang out, assuming watching anime was an invitation. Simon wouldn’t consider himself a fan of anime, but he did want to spend time with one of his best friends. “What’s the choice for tonight’s marathon?”

Leah shrugged and linked her arm’s with Simon’s. She appreciated him offering to watch with her even though he knew nothing about anime. “I was just going to see what had updated on CrunchyRoll. Or we can get sucked down a YouTube black hole again.”

“Hey Simon,” she spoke tentatively and looked to her best friend. “Can we talk?” He stomach was full of butterflies and her heart was in her throat. Why was she so nervous about this? This was Simon.
