Cort was about to call it a day. He yawned and stretched back in his office chair, taking a last look at the new chart he had started to compile today. This was always the least interesting part of his work. He loved nearly every part of this job. Researching new findings, making sense of family records, cleaning old papers, translating those and maybe creating a bigger picture by matching their findings to those of other institutions. Throroughly scanning those papers and feeding them into lists was not that though. Cortéz was about to check the last few items he had added to the list again, to make sure everything was absolutely in place, when he heard a strange sound outside of his office in the entrance hall of the building. He got up, seemingly confused. The only people still being here at this hour would be his boss, but she was most likely to stay in her office until the dead of night, and some students. He cautiously opened the door, his eyes having to adjust to the darkness in the hall. He flinched and stumbled backwards, when he saw to animal-like eyes reflecting the light from his office and emitting an eerie glow.
“I want a pet griffon.” (hexenbrut)
Cort raised a brow, then starting to frown at Victoria. “There are not griffons in these parts though.”

Cortéz was usually not the one to drop by bars after work, but tonight had been the worst. He was scratched up and tired and really did not feel like going home. He was not in the mood for Ernsts worried face and all the questions. He just wanted to have a beer. Right upon entering the place he noticed that there was not much going on. Only a few guests, scattered around the establishment. It made him feel watched. He tried to shake the feeling off and sat down at the counter. In the corner of his eyes he could see that someone else had decided to take seat there. He blinked and for a moment he was not able to stop staring. A cowboy. The guy next to him looked like a cowboy.

No, no, no. Cort tried to run faster, hearing explosions in the distance. Oh god no. He had gotten a message about some man causing troubles near a fairy hill. First problem, he could draw attentions to the Seelie living there, second problem they might come out and try to kill the guy. All of the would lead to unimaginable troubles for him. Running faster, holding on to his scarf and trying not to loose it, he reached the place where he had heard the explosions first. They had ceased now, so he could not really be sure about that. Catching his breath, he tried to keep his voice steady. "Hello??"
"Yer so CUTE, MAN, what the FUCK!" Stash is all grinny and giggly. "Stop that. Yer cuteness? Fuckin' cut that shit out."
Cort started to blush vigorously. He grabbed his scarf to tuck it over his face. “Are you okay, Ryan?”
"Then you and me can make the best damn stew that's ever existed. I'm down."
“Let’s do this.” He nodded and lead Stash to an old building. The rendering was a soft pink. Outside the first floor there were tables and chairs for guests of the café that the building obviously housed. Cort went a little faster, towards a door at the side.
