"Stop distracting me," you hissed.

You had been trying to write an essay for the past hour, and your boyfriend Ron seemed absolutely determined to keep you there until midnight.

Studying in the Room of Requirement was supposed to be peaceful, private, and make you productive. However, when you brought Ron, all three of those things went out the window.

"I'm not even doing anything!" he said, but there was a faint curve to his lips that proved he knew exactly what he was doing.

In fact, what he was doing was being fucking annoying. He seems insistent on touching you constantly: Hugging you from behind and "accidentally" grazing his fingers over your chest, whispering in your ear and "accidentally" brushing his lips against your skin, tickling your thigh and "accidentally" letting his hands go up your skirt.

"I'm going to kill you," you replied, trying to focus. The essay wasn't due for a few more days, but you wanted to get it done. The ingredients that went into making Wolfsbane Potion were wolfsbane (duh), dragon blood, moonstone, and...Ugh.

Flipping through your notes, you could feel Ron press himself against you, framing it as an innocent attempt to snuggle, but you could feel his cock pressing against the small of your back.

"You're cute when you get like that," he murmured.

"Like what?" you replied. "Pissed off at you? Filled with the desire to poison your pumpkin juice?"

Ron chuckled, low and breathy. "I love getting you all worked up like this. Makes me wanna fuck that scowl off your face."

A rush of heat ran through you, and you shifted, feeling how much that frankly crude and obnoxious statement had turned you on.

This guy was going to be the death of you.

"I hate you," you said, but finally put your quill down, turning to give him your attention.

He just smirked, pulling you in for a kiss.

Shadowheart had done her best to heal you, but your body still ached after the particularly rough battle with a band of goblins you had encountered on your journey.

Gale had carried you back to camp, whispering words of comfort to you the whole while. It had served as a sweet distraction from the pain, and you were incredibly grateful for his kindness.

You laid on your back in your tent, eyes shut to try and quell your headache. You could smell that Wyll was cooking something on the fire, but you weren't feeling very much like eating at that moment, dazed and exhausted.

"You really should eat," Gale's voice chimed in from the entrance of your tent.

"In the morning," you murmured. "Too tired."

Torn between trusting your instincts and insisting on caring for you, Gale looked between the campfire and your tent for a moment, before choosing the latter. "Fine," he said, laying down on your cot beside you.

"What are you doing?" you asked.

"Come here. Let me hold you for a while."

"But you should go eat."

"I will later," he replied.

You rolled over and rested your head on his chest, melting into his scent, his warmth. His touch was always a comfort to you: In the short time you had gotten to know Gale, you had found yourself falling in love with him.

He, ever the sappy romantic, seemed to share your feelings, and express them tenfold. While you were still tentative, unsure, focused on more pressing matters (like the parasite inside your skull), Gale seemed content to waste the days touching you, kissing you, cooing compliments into your ear.

It was a nice change of pace from all the disaster around you, you supposed.

"Get some rest," Gale muttered. "We'll eat in the morning."

And with his blessing, you quickly found yourself dozing off in his arms.
